On the left is Yann Li, a Chinese acrobat for cirque de soleil. He trains the high beam acrobats and was waiting for his plane to sentai, or sendai to meet up with his group. He had just finished a show in montreal, and after Japan was headed to Russia, Finland, then Australia. The guy on the right is Djinn Van Hamersveld. Right now you're probably thinking, That is an awesome name. I agree. He was in the wrong airport and had to wait for the 6am train to the other airport for his 830 flight to Australia. Before this he was in Canada and Brazil. I hope you made your flight!
This is Sochu, or Soju, I'm not sure. I am told it is some sort of potato or rice whiskey. Dave had a bunch of drinks in his carry on bag, and realized he couldn't take them on the plane. So he shared them with us. Yann Li explained that you drink it in little sips as it is supposed to be very strong.
Sight Test: It's a clear liquid, unlike hot chocolate.
Smell Test: It reminds me of Vodka.
Touch Test: Wet, very similar to putting your finger in water, vodka, cola.
Sound Test: I was a little rude and didn't give the beverage a chance to speak.
Taste Test: It doesn't have a distinct flavour, but again, it reminds me of Vodka.
Sight Test: Pink, it kind of looks like soap, or Jell-O.
Smell Test: It doesn't really smell like anything.
Touch Test: Rubbery, and textured. I imagined it'd be smooth like Grapefruit Jell-O but it felt more like that non-opaque white Jell-O you find in the dessert section of all you can eat Chinese buffets. What kind of Jell-O is that supposed to be? Coconut?
